A vibrant winter berry smoothie bowl with a crunchy seed topping, perfect for breakfast or a quick snack.

# What You Need:

→ Smoothie Base

01 - 1 cup frozen mixed winter berries (blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, cranberries)
02 - 1 ripe banana, sliced
03 - 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt or coconut yogurt
04 - 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
05 - 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
06 - 1 tablespoon chia seeds

→ Toppings

07 - 1/4 cup fresh berries
08 - 2 tablespoons pumpkin seeds
09 - 2 tablespoons sunflower seeds
10 - 1 tablespoon chia seeds
11 - 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
12 - 2 tablespoons unsweetened coconut flakes
13 - Granola (optional, gluten-free if needed)

# How To Make:

01 - Place frozen berries, banana, yogurt, almond milk, honey or maple syrup if using, and 1 tablespoon chia seeds in a high-speed blender. Blend until completely smooth and thick, scraping down sides as needed.
02 - Divide the smoothie mixture evenly between two serving bowls, using a spatula to transfer all contents from the blender.
03 - Arrange fresh berries, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, additional chia seeds, hemp seeds, coconut flakes, and granola if using in rows or clusters across the surface of each bowl.
04 - Serve immediately with spoons while the smoothie base retains its thick, cold consistency.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The frozen berries give you that perfect thick ice cream texture without watering anything down
  • It takes ten minutes from freezer to spoon but looks like something you would order at a fancy cafe
02 -
  • If your smoothie base is too thin, add a few more frozen berries or a handful of ice and blend again
  • The texture should be thick enough that a spoon stands up in it, otherwise the toppings will just sink right to the bottom
03 -
  • Let the frozen berries sit on the counter for five minutes before blending to help your blender work more efficiently
  • A high speed blender really does make a difference here but a regular one will work if you are patient and stop to scrape down the sides often
